Shipping
Shipping charges are for approximate cost. We do not add handling charges or intentionally pad our shipping fees. Our goal is for your order to be delivered in the fastest, most economical way possible.
(to help save you money, we do not even offer air shipping in cases where ground would be just as fast)
Economical, “UPS” or “Fed-ex” Ground service is offered to all locations in the continental US (1-5 business days depending on distance from our Northern California plant).
As a faster alternative, we offer Priority Mail (2-3 day service) to all states east of the rocky mountains.
FYI: Priority Mail costs only slighly more than ground for orders
of 5 LBS or less.
Orders received after 10 AM Pacific time will be shipped the next business day.
Ground transit times range from 1 to 5 business days
(1 day Northern Cal. - 5 days east coast).
Orders to all offshore USA destinations are shipped via “Priority Mail”
(3-5 day service). This includes Alaska, Hawaii and all US territories
as well as diplomatic and military PO Box addresses.
Sorry, we are unable to ship to any non US destinations.
If you suspect your order is overdue, please contact us immediately!
In order for us to know if something is wrong with your shipment
we need to hear from you (patience is not a virtue here)!

Grinding
All coffees are shipped whole bean unless you specify grinding under the payment section of the web site or specify grinding verbally in the case of phone orders.
Freshness and Storage
In the interest of freshness, we strongly suggest that you purchase your coffee in the whole bean form and grind it right before brewing. Coffee beans may be stored in your freezer in an airtight, moisture proof container for up to 3 months.
Packaging
Our coffee is shipped in special airtight bags with one-way valves that let naturally occurring gases out but no new air in.
